Prosecco DOC Rosé, a sparkling wine for everyone
The Prosecco Hills are located in a special place, where Venice Lagoon meets the Dolomites, 50 km away from Venice.
This is a vocated area for what concern the wine production, for three centuries. This is the land of Prosecco DOC and Prosecco DOCG. Nowaday Prosecco is the firt wine in the world by volume and part of the venetian identity, a good match of resilience, passion and hard work
Prosecco DOC is almost obtained by Metodo di Spumantizzazione Italiano (Italian Sparkling Process), re-elaborated by the Scuola Enologica di Conegliano (Oenological School of Conegliano): the wine refermentation in autoclaves allows grape aromas to be revealed better and to produce a wine which is typically fruity and floral and to gain a perfect perlage.
Prosecco Rosé is new, on the market only since 2020, but it is already a highlight of Prosecco production, throughout its area of expertise.
Prosecco Rosé Millesimato Extra Dry combines Glera 90%, with Pinot Noir 10%. Pinot Noir is kept on must for a certain period, to extract scents and colors, giving some light pink nuances to the wine. After 90 days in pressure tanks and 1 mouth on the bottle this sparkling wine is ready. Its perlage is thin, elegant and persistent and expresses best in the pink color. On the nose it reveals notes of roses, fresh wild fruits and wild strawberries. Good structure, balanced and sapid, pleasant and harmonious on the palate.
Be careful. Prosecco Rosé is not a women-only wine, as is often said. On the contrary, it is an ideal wine for everyone and for all occasions, from aperitifs to a light lunch of vegetables and fish.
